Lord of the tanks

This was another 2 week project and it again was with one other programmer and two artists.
It was one of the most fun projects I had the pleasure to work on.
The team was very committed to the game and we were working very hard on it and it overall felt really fulfilling.
Thing I’m most proud of would be the split-screen, getting the glContext and setting up the viewport and correct positions and such was a challenge.
Looking back on this project I must say we made some strange choices.
We decided to exclusively use controllers, it even polls the number of controllers connected to it to determine how many players are playing.
Which is unusual to say the least. It even crashes when you pull the controller out while playing.
Maybe we were focused on the game itself, we only had 2 weeks after all.
We played a 4 player split-screen game during our presentation and the teachers were very impressed giving us a 10/10.

THE GAME:

In this game each player takes control over a tank and needs to destroy the other tanks to win
